AN officer of the Southern Health Board has been assigned to manage a Cork nursing home following allegations of serious breaches of regulations, the House was told. The Minister for Health, Mr Noonan, said the officer would manage Woburn House nursing home for a month while allegations made by a former employee were investigated.

He was responding to Mr Batt O'Keeffe (FF) who said the nurse manager of the home was dismissed this month having alleged repeated breaches of regulations similar to breaches discovered when the home was first investigated a year ago.
