The Dail restaurant in Leinster House was transformed yesterday when TDs ate a "fairly traded" lunch to the beat of African drums. The menu, which was presented by the Association of Fair Trade Shops in Ireland, comprised food bought at fair prices from producers in developing countries. The event was one of a series planned for this week by the European fair trade network to encourage political leaders to take decisive action on the issue.
