A call has been made for the establishment of a special Garda computer squad to combat criminals who use the Internet to co ordinate drug shipments and sell stolen goods. A Fianna Fail senator, Mr Billy Kelleher, called on the Minister for Justice, Ms Owen, to set up the team "not only to monitor possible illegal activity on the Internet but to ensure traditional Garda surveillance needs include this hugely important new arena".
