The Minister for Defence is to introduce legislation to reorganise the Defence Forces headquarters. Mr Smith said he would introduce an amendment to the Defence Act, 1954, to abolish the positions of adjutant-general and quartermaster-general and replace them with two new appointments of deputy chief-of-staff.
