A woman, thought to be Polish, has been killed in a traffic accident near Gort in Co Galway.
The woman was a passenger with a van that collided with an articulated lorry around midday yesterday at
Caherheeneymore.
The male driver of the van, also thought to be Polish, was taken to Ennis County Hospital with minor injuries. He was later discharged. The driver of the lorry was not injured.
