Police seize cannabis worth €1.3m in Antrim

Cannabis resin with an estimated street value of £1 million (€1.26 million) was seized by police in Larne, Antrim today.

Cannabis resin with an estimated street value of £1 million (€1.26 million) was seized by police in Larne, Antrim today.

The haul was discovered during a routine patrol by PSNI officers on the Harbour Highway shortly before 3am.

The drugs were stashed in the back of a heavy goods vehicle.

A man was arrested at the scene and is being questioned by the PSNI's Crime Operations Drugs Squad.
