Up to 150 cannabis plants were seized by PSNI officers at an industrial estate on the outskirts of south Belfast today.

The plants were found in a unit at the estate in Dunmurry at around 10am.

There were no arrests.

The find comes in the week police announced that more than 100 such factories have been discovered in Northern Ireland this year alone, with £15 million worth of drugs recovered.

A total of 72 people from South East Asia have so far been charged, with police investigating possible connections to Chinese Triad gangs.
