LONDON - A file on the "mercying killing" of a terminally ill patient, Alice Rowbottom, by her son is to be sent to the Crown Prosecution Service, police said yesterday. Mr Derek Rowbottom, from Ashton under Lyne, Greater Manchester, has said he gave his 80 year old mother two overdoses of morphine.
