Two police officers have been injured in a car crash in Northern Ireland.

Two police officers have been injured in a car crash in Northern Ireland.

The PSNI said the patrol car they were travelling in was in collision with a stolen Volkswagen Passat at about 4am on the upper Malone Road.  The car had been reported stolen following a burglary in Glengormley the previous day.

They were treated in hospital but their injuries are not believed to be serious.

Two youths are believed to have run from the scene following the crash.  Police are seeking witnesses.
