Several PSNI officers were injured early today when up to 200 people rioted in Derry.
Officers were attacked when they were called to a disturbance in the city and found rival groups fighting.
They were pelted with stones, bottles and other missiles when they moved in to try to separate the factions fighting outside a bar on the Strand Road at around 2 a.m.
One man was taken to hospital following the trouble and two men were arrested for disorderly behaviour.
None of the injured officers was understood to have been seriously hurt.
