Belfast police have launched an investigation following two apparent punishment-style shootings in the city last night.

In one incident, a man in his 30s was found on a hard shoulder of the M2 motorway close to Glengormley with bullet wounds in both knees.

And in a separate incident in East Belfast, a 19-year-old man was shot in the right leg.
