Police are hunting a lone gunman who shot a man at his Belfast home last night.

Police are hunting a lone gunman who shot a man at his Belfast home last night.

The victim was hit when shots were fired at a house in Hawthorn Street in the west of the city. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police said the gunman was wearing a Glasgow Celtic scarf over his face and asked for his victim by name before shooting a man in the side.

The victim was treated by police at the scene.
