Cairo - About 10 Egyptian police officers could face charges of negligence in connection with last week's tourist massacre in Luxor, security sources said yesterday. The charges carry a maximum of three years in jail and a fine of 1,000 Egyptian pounds (£200). The officers work in the tourism police, archaeology police and in Luxor police headquarters. Witnesses said police reinforcements were slow to arrive after six Muslim militants shot and knifed to death 58 foreigners and four Egyptians at Hatshepsut temple on November 17th.
