The 500-acre site that played host to the event included 850 exhibitions by groups including the Road Safety Authority, the Health and Safety Authority and Macra Na Feirme.

Macra Na Feirme unveiled its 2008 naked calendar, showcasing female Macra members from Limerick as part of a charity scheme in aid of the Samaritans.

Livestock exhibits, machinery demonstrations, a forestry village, a motor show, and a bioenergy village drew huge crowds.
