The National Youth Council of Ireland has appealed to the Minister for Education, Ms Breathnach, to secure the release of National Lottery funds to a number of youth organisations.
These funds, a total of £1.25 million allocated to some 30 organisations by the National Lottery, are distributed by the Department of Education. However, according to the NYCI they have not been distributed this year because of a dispute within the Department.
