A decision to grant planning approval for a multi-million pound power plant near Drogheda is to be appealed to An Bord Pleanala.

Meath County Council gave Marathon Power and Scottish and Southern Energy Plc planning permission to construct a 400 m.w. gas-fired electricity generating plant at Carranstown and Caulstown, Duleek.
