Army bomb disposal experts were called in after a pipebomb was found in a house driveway in west Dublin.

Army bomb disposal experts were called in after a pipebomb was found in a house driveway in west Dublin.

The Defence Forces deployed the team to an address at Whitestown Drive in Mulhuddart after a request from gardaí.

The team arrived at 1.30am this morning and removed the improvised explosive device for destruction.

The scene was declared safe at 2.30am.
