Pipe bomb, other weapons found in North

A pipe bomb device was defused in by British army technical officers last night.

A pipe bomb device was defused in by British army technical officers last night.

The device had been discovered at 8.15 p.m. last night at Carrowdore, near Newtownards, Co Down.

In the other incident, a handgun, component parts for explosives, a telescopic sight and ammunition were seized in Knockagh Road, Newtownabbey.
