Pipe bomb made safe in Dublin

A viable pipe bomb was defused in Dublin last night.

A viable pipe bomb was defused in Dublin last night.

The Defence Forces sent a bomb disposal team to a house at Lismore Road in Crumlin at 11.45pm after being called by gardaí.

The device was made safe at the scene and removed for further examination. No controlled explosion was carried out.

The scene was declared safe at 12.50am.
