An Army bomb-disposal team has carried out a controlled explosion on a pipe-bomb in Dublin’s south inner city.

An Army bomb-disposal team has carried out a controlled explosion on a pipe-bomb in Dublin’s south inner city.

Braithwaite Street in Pimlico, Dublin 8, was sealed off this morning after the device was found attached to a parked car.

A number of residents were evacuated from their homes before the area was declared safe.
