LONDON Two men's lips will meet in a kiss for the first time on a British television commercial today but the makers say the scene is not a gay embrace.

The two second shot part of a £12.5 million commercial for Peugeot's new 406 model will show the men lying on a beach. But the car company yesterday denied there were, "homosexual overtones" in the three minute advertisement, which will be screened during the News at Ten commercial break.
