Irish oil and gas explorer Petroceltic International has been awarded nine exploration permits off the coast of Italy in the Adriatic Sea.
The permits are for exploration in areas next to existing oil and gas fields in waters 30 meters to 150 meters deep, the company said in a statement this morning.
Petroceltic's Italian unit Petroceltic Elsa was awarded the units.
