One person was seriously injured yesterday morning when a car which was being followed by gardai was involved in a three car collision in Dublin. The accident occurred shortly after 4 a.m.

A car which had earlier been "stopped by gardai at Orwell Road, Rathgar, was being followed by a Garda car when it drove through the junction of Leonard's Corner at Clanbrassil Street and collided with a taxi and another car.

The two men in the car which was being followed, the taxi driver and the three occupants of the other car were taken to the Meath Hospital.
