RESIDENTS of Delgany, Co Wicklow, will hold a public meeting in the old schoolhouse tonight to decide what they should do about Wicklow County Council's decision to grant planning permission for a 300 house estate adjacent to the village.

For more than a year, residents have opposed the development. Two previous applications for planning permission on the site were resubmitted before the decision deadline arrived. In addition to this development, there are applications before the council for 400 other houses in the area.
