JERUSALEM - The Israeli, Prime Minister, Mr Shimon Peres, yesterday visited a major air force base in a not too subtle hint to Shin Muslim guerrillas that they would be made to pay for attacks against Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon, Peter Hirsch berg reports.

Mr Peres warned that Israel would "punish" the Hizbullah for attacks in recent weeks in which five Israeli soldiers have been killed and 17 injured.
