Oslo - An international campaign to eradicate child labour is to be boosted by a global people's march from four continents culminating in Geneva next summer, organisers said here yesterday. "We are hoping that this will be one of the single largest marches of its kind," said Kailash Satyarthi of the South Asian Coalition on Child Servitude. Mr Satyarthi said the Global March Against Child Labour would have four starting points in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe.

The International Labour Organisation is working on an international convention on child labour, notably outlawing the worst abuses, and this is scheduled for adoption at its congress in June.
