ERIC CANTONA (31) is to star with Mickey Rourke in a film about boxing. The former Manchester United player will take a leading role in the 20-minute black-and-white movie about three boxers fighting over the same girl.

The sale of Andrew Lloyd-Webber's wine collection has established a new world auction record for a wine sale. More than 18,000 bottles sold for a total of £3,692,821.

Roman Polanski is planning to stage a musical out of his hit 1967 farce The Vampire Killers. The world premiere will take place in Vienna in October, he said yesterday.
