BANGUI - Police in the Central African Republic fired on a group of about 200 pensioners who barricaded the Prime Minister, Mr Jean Edouard Gabriel Koyambounou, in his office for several hours yesterday, during a protest over pension arrears, witnesses said.

At least 10 pensioners were wounded.
