Pensioner jailed for sex offences

A 70-year-old grandfather was jailed for five years yesterday after admitting sex offences against two of his daughters and three grandchildren. Some of the offences dated back nearly 35 years, but the Crown Court heard the offences only came to light two years ago. The west Belfast man, who cannot be named to protect the victims, pleaded guilty last month to 20 charges of gross indecency and indecent assault between 1964 and 1996.
