Police in Derry have arrested a man (22) after a pedestrian died when he was knocked down by a car in the city early this morning.
The 23-year-year man was walking on the Racescourse Road in the Shantallow area at about 2.20am when he was hit by a black Volkswagen Passat.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
