A woman in her 60s has died after being struck by a car when out walking in Co Cavan last night.
The incident happened at about 7.50pm on the R198 at Coronea near Arva. The woman was taken to Cavan General Hospital where she later died.
The R198 is closed pending a forensic examination and diversions are in place.
