A 26-year-old male pedestrian from Ballyboughal, Co Dublin, was killed by a wheel which came loose from a truck near Dublin Airport yesterday afternoon.

The truck lost two wheels on the Swords side of the roundabout beside the Coachman's Inn on the main Dublin to Belfast road at about 2.40 p.m. Gardai at Swords are asking for witnesses to the accident to contact the station on 01-666 4700.
