Talks between employers, unions and Government representatives were continuing tonight in an attempt to agree employment standards that protect workers from exploitation.

The sides have been unable to reach agreement on this issue and - as a result - have not started negotiations on wages.

The talks are taking place at Government Buildings as part of negotiations on anew national partnership programme to succeed the Sustaining Progress which expires next month.

The parties have spent nearly three months discussing employment standards to date without reaching agreement.
