The leader of the Christian Solidarity Party, Dr Gerard Casey, has said that on abortion a "strange no policy" consensus is emerging between Fianna Fail and their possible future partners in Government, the PDs".

Dr Casey asked why parties that had tax policies, welfare policies and others as part of their election manifesto apparently have no position in regard to abortion, which almost 70 per cent of the people wish to see prohibited.
