The parents of murdered Swiss teenager Manuela Riedo will be the guests of honour at a function in the Salthill Hotel tonight.
All 1,200 tickets for the event, which was organised to coincide with the second anniversary of her death, have been sold.
Among the performers will be Sharon Shannon and the Mulkerrin brothers, winners of the first RTÉ “All-Ireland Talent Show”.
The concert will be preceded by the release of balloons from Ladies’ Beach in Salthill to mark the anniversary.
Organiser Shane Lennon said: “Two years on we mourn what happened to Manuela. This was the darkest day in the city’s history.”
