Troops of the 3rd Battalion of the British Parachute Regiment will leave Northern Ireland today after completing their six-month tour of duty, and will return to their home barracks in Dover, England. The battalion will not be replaced but will be available for redeployment in Northern Ireland should the security situation require it.
