Three people associated with the Jordanian Paralympic team are due to appear to in Coleraine District court today on sexual assault charges.

The PSNI last night confirmed that a man (23) had been charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child, sexual assault of a woman and voyeurism. A man (35) faces two charges of sexual assault on a child and another man (36) is charged with sexual assault of an adult female.

It is understood the alleged incidents took place at the Antrim Forum leisure centre, Co Antrim. The men were arrested on Monday.

Police would not confirm the Jordanian connection but informed sources said the men were linked to the team. It is one of the squads using facilities in Northern Ireland ahead of the London Paralympic Games .
