Ormeau march ends peacefully

An Orange Order parade banned from walking along Belfast's lower Ormeau Road passed off peacefully yesterday.

An Orange Order parade banned from walking along Belfast's lower Ormeau Road passed off peacefully yesterday.

Marchers stopped at police lines where they sang hymns and listened to a sermon by the district chaplain, Rev William Hoey.

The Lower Ormeau Concerned Community called on the Orange Order to engage in direct dialogue about the conduct of future marches through the nationalist area.
