Ms Olive Braiden, director of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, has announced she will step down from her post in September

Ms Olive Braiden, director of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, has announced she will step down from her post in September. She was appointed director of the centre in 1990.

She said the centre had reached a point where it was not only the first port of call for victims of sexual violence but for the public, Government and professionals seeking advice and guidance. "This seems a good time to move on," she said.
