The Minister of State at the Department of the Marine, Mr Eamon Gilmore TD, has lodged an objection with the planning authorities against the proposed replacement of the Dalkey Island Hotel at Coliemore Harbour in Dun Laoghaire with luxury apartments.
Mr Gilmore said the proposed development would "destroy the amenity value of Coliemore Harbour, which is one of the few points of public access to the sea in south Dublin".
