SCUNTHORPE – Five nurses have been suspended from a hospital’s children’s ward after claims that a baby was restrained, according to reports.

Police and NHS chiefs confirmed they are investigating an incident at Scunthorpe General Hospital in Lincolnshire.

The alleged restraint of the infant is said to have taken place on the Disney Ward, which looks after children aged from a few days up to 16 years old, the BBC reported.

A Humberside Police spokesman said: “Police can confirm that a complaint is being investigated following an incident at Scunthorpe General Hospital. – (PA)
