Threatened industrial action by SIPTU members at St Vincent's Hospital in Fairview, Dublin, which was due to begin today, has been deferred. SIPTU nursing staff had issued notice of industrial action due to concerns over their personal safety and security. The hospital management has now proposed 24-hour security.
