Northern Ireland has lost a major international computer conference because of the violence after Drumcree.

The COSAC 96 Computer Security and Audit and Control conference was switched from the Stormont Hotel in Belfast to the Slieve Russell Hotel in Co Cavan when delegates from countries such as Britain, America, Belgium, the Netherlands and Russia cancelled after television reports about the violence during and after the Orange march.
