There has been an increase of 2,000 in the number of people out of work in Northern Ireland because of a change in the way the statistics are calculated. The latest figures use data from the internationally recognised Labour Force Survey. According to the Labour Force Survey data, unemployment stands at 8.3 per cent of the workforce, or 62,000 people.
