Norris unmoved by film premiere

Mr David Norris (Ind) complained yesterday that he had been prevented from attending for a vote in the House last week. It had taken him an hour to get from his North Great George's Street home, Dublin, to Leinster House.

"I thought it was a bomb. In fact, it was the premiere of the Michael Collins film. It was quite odd that the main thoroughfare of a capital city should be blocked off for hours simply to facilitate a movie premiere", he said.
