The Minister for Health, Mr Noonan, yesterday opened an extension to the facilities for brain injury rehabilitation at the National Rehabilitation Hospital on Rochestown Avenue, Dun Laoghaire.

The extension consists of St Patrick's ward, a new specialised unit for the treatment of brain injury resulting from strokes, tumours, and accidents. The unit deals with patients who require intensive care.
