The Government has announced its nominees to the EU Committee of the Regions, an assembly that gives advice on EU legislation and policy.
The nominees are: Councillors Betty Coffey, Seamus Murray, Tony McKenna, Annette McNamara and Sean O Neachtain (Fianna Fail); Councillors Connie Hanniffy and Maurice Cummins (Fine Gael); Cllr Declan Bree (Labour); and Cllr Mae Sexton (Progressive Democrats).
