Luxembourg - Luxembourg, current holder of the EU presidency, yesterday said no progress had been made on the return of EU ambassadors to Iran because Tehran still insisted that Germany's ambassador should be the last to go back.

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mr Kamal Kharrazi, was reported on Sunday by the official IRNA news agency as saying that the 15 ambassadors could return to Tehran when they wished.

He was speaking after a two-day visit to Iran by special EU envoy Mr Paul Meurtz.
