A wedding reception booked for Tattersalls, Fairyhouse, Co Meath, will have to go ahead as a "dry" affair on Saturday, with all the drinks given free to the guests. An application for an occasional licence for the event was withdrawn at Navan District court yesterday. Judge John Brophy, at Dunshaughlin Court on Tuesday, ruled that a wedding reception does not qualify as a special event for an occasional licence.
