There will be no prosecution in the case of a man who was found dead in a Garda cell having been arrested for vandalising an ESB box, the Dublin Coroner’s Court heard.

Antonio Nunes (39), from Killinarden in south Dublin, was found dead in a cell at Tallaght Garda station on April 20th, last year. He had been arrested after he was seen banging his head against an ESB box near his home.

The DPP directed that no prosecution take place. The coroner adjourned the inquest for hearing on February 22nd.
